What is Treatment Risk Cover?

Treatment Risk Cover provides protection against compensation claims for injury or illness as a result of a treatment or application you have applied.

As a beauty professional you have a duty of care to provide safe treatment to your clients. However, accidents can happen. This is why treatment risk cover is essential for beauty professionals.

What insurance do I need for my beauty business?

At Salonsafe, our beauty insurance packages utilise a simple menu-driven approach allowing you to select the specific sections of cover applicable to your business.

Every beauty business will have a core requirement for treatment risk and unlike some of our competitors, we will never offer cover without this vital component. What is critical is that the policy protects the array of different treatments you provide.

Public liability insurance for a beauty salon offers protection for claims and expenses from members of the public as a result of the actions of you or a member of your staff - for example, a client trips on a loose carpet tile and damages their knee ligaments.

If you employ any staff you are legally required to purchase employers liability insurance, this covers compensation claims by current or former employees as a result of injuries sustained through their employment.

If you own the property where your business is based, we would look to protect your building against fire, flood, theft and other perils. If you lease or rent the property, then you should ensure that cover is arranged in respect of any tenants improvements you have made to the salon.

Beauty equipment, contents (such as beds or tables), stock and aftercare products can also be covered, along with money, signage and your salon glass front.
